Frequently Asked Questions
What is a pedicab?
A pedicab (or rickshaw) is a three-wheeled (tricycle), pedal-powered, people-carrier.
How many people can it fit?
Three adult passengers can fit comfortably.
What about kids?
Generally, lap children are acceptable and we can fit a stroller or two at your feet.
Do you accept credit cards?
Can you pick me up from Metro or at my Hotel?
Yes and Yes. We simply need to coordinate time and location. I can pick you up anywhere within city limits, but downtown works best.
Can you pick me up from the airport?
No, but there is a Metro Rail stop that picks up at Reagan National. I can pick you up after you cross the river into D.C. If you land at Dulles, simply take a taxi/shuttle to get to D.C. If you land at BWI, simply take a taxi or an Amtrak train to Union Station. We can rendez-vous then
Is there a weight limit?
If the total passenger weight is over 500lbs, we simply go slower.
What if it is cold outside?
With a cover over your head and a blanket over your legs, most people stay toasty. We can always stop for a warm beverage, or I can bring a thermos filled with your pick of libation!
How is this different from the other pedicab companies?
I lead every tour and customize each ride with your needs in mind. Unlike others, I own my own pedicab and I own this business.
Can you make reservations and/or recommendations for dining?
Yes! I not only can make recommendations, but I can also make reservations for you and drop you off.
I want to give a tour as a gift, how do I do that?
Simply fill out a Reservations request and specify which tour and the dates desired. Provide some specifics in the comments field and I will respond to you ASAP. For payment I can email you an electronic invoice to pay via credit card.
Can I hire your services for a whole day?
Absolutely! We can work out a pick-up/drop-off schedule or whatever you have in mind. There is always plenty to do and see in D.C.!
